Hotel Near Fulham

Situated between Chelsea and Putney, Fulham is a super popular picturesque neighbourhood within super easy reach of The Lodge Hotel Putney. Today Fulham is firmly established, like Putney as an upmarket location. Famous for it’s high-end restaurants, shops, boutiques, pubs and the start of the Kings Road, which runs from Fulham to Chelsea. Fulham has something for all tastes from quiet cafes with great coffee, to cocktail bars, a Whole Foods and other specialist food shops, to a cineworld cinema complex. Numerous young couples and and city professionals choose this leafy corner of London and it’s attractive lay out. Recently many continentals, especially French (attracted by the French Lycée school) and Italian families have followed adding charm by the bucket load.

Parson’s Green, just two tube stops from East Putney is a gorgeous enclave within the greater Fulham area, and a lovely example of south west London charm. Eel Brook common is a picturesque green surrounded by cafes and pubs. There are two farmers markets; at Parsons Green and Bishops Park. Among the best pubs and casual dining are; Claude’s Kitchen above the Amuse Bouche champagne bar, The White Horse (known as the Sloaney Pony), The Brown Cow, The Sands End, and The Malta House – all do cracking examples of contemporary British classics. The leading restaurants however are world acclaimed The River Cafe, and michelin star pub The Harwood Arms, we recommend reserving for both.

Fulham Broadway is a main commercial centre of Fulham, only three tube stops from East Putney, or a short drive or bus away. Weather guests are visiting friends and family, or doing business in the Fulham area, The Lodge Hotel is an excellent choice.

Fulham is home to leading football club Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge and Fulham FC at Craven Cottage, as well as The Hurlingham Club, of which The Lodge is the preferred hotel for their prestigious events. Fulham Palace, owned by the Bishops of London for over 1300 years is now a museum with a fascinating history.
