Located in the borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey, about 18 miles south-west of London’s city centre, Epsom is a town very well known for horse racing. A visit to Epsom is definitely well worth the journey, especially if you plan to watch the races.

Horse Racing: A visit to Epsom is not complete if you don’t attend a race meet. Full of atmosphere and excitement, there’s almost nothing more fun than a day at the track placing a few bets. Epsom Downs Racecourse is most famous for hosting the Epsom Derby, as well as the Epsom Oaks and Coronation Cup. You can get a view of the races for free, although it is hard to get a good spot without paying.
Shopping: The Ashley Centre in Epsom is sure to suit all your shopping needs, with an abundance of popular British shops such as Waitrose, Waterstones, House of Fraser and Marks & Spencer. You’ll also find a number of local craft and food shops around town.
Sightseeing: For the best way to see the sights of Epsom, walk or cycle around town. Some places to visit include Nonsuch Park and Hogsmill River.
