Situated within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Ascot is a town famed for its horse racing at Ascot Racecourse. Ascot is a great place to visit for a day trip from London or as a side trip from Windsor.

Things to do in Ascot

Horse Racing: Ascot Racecourse is the home of the famous race meeting, Royal Ascot. Due to its close proximity to Windsor Castle, it is also a Royal Family favourite, with many members, including the queen, attending each year. The Royal enclosure is very exclusive, but visitors are able to get a good view from outside the Royal Enclosure.

Shopping: Ascot is not well known for its shopping, however, you will find most amenities around town, including a few local stores too.
