- Wandsworth has a large selection of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from. The river front, Wandsworth Common and Old York Road are all great locations to start at.
- Well known restaurant Chez Bruce (formerly named Harveys) in Wandsworth Common is where Gordon Ramsay began his career.
- Wandsworth High Street features the Southside Shopping Centre, which is sure to keep any shopper busy for a while.
- An interesting fact - Wandsworth Prison is the largest in London and the second largest in the UK.
- The gothic style Royal Victoria Patriotic Building is an amazing sight for architecture enthusiasts.
- Wandsworth's library has been renovated and will be opening on 25th August. It is located in the Court House, Garratt Lane. The library will include free internet with wifi access, study areas, a learning suite and self-service issue and return options. CDs, DVDs, newspapers and magazines will also be available. For young people there will be a large children's library area.
- A Sunday market will run every Sunday at the Ram Brewery site from 5th July. It will be selling high-quality, upmarket food and the stalls will include meat, fish and cheese. Opening times: 10am to 4pm. Access from Wandsworth High Street.
